Top tips for SMBs going digital

During our time supporting Small Business Saturday we’ve spoken to numerous entrepreneurs and business owners, all with a story to tell of digital tools helping them punch above their weight.

Whether it’s enabling collaboration, building new communities, expanding their customer base, or just making things simpler, all agree that using digital tools properly can level the playing field with the enterprise giants. Don’t just take our word for it though, you can hear from the small business owners we’ve been speaking with here.

But there’s still some way to go. Michelle Ovens, founder of Small Business Saturday, told us half of the country’s small businesses still haven’t even got a website yet!

For us though, that’s more exciting than problematic. Digital is fast moving to the top of priority lists for small business owners, so imagine what will happen when everyone is making the most of it.

Over the course of the next couple of weeks, Drop Everything will be exploring simple tips for small business owners wanting to adopt and expand their digital offering, starting with these two pieces of advice from Matthew Quinn of graphic design company 401, and Garsington Opera’s Johnny Langridge.
